Music Monday.

"Fix My Eyes" - For King & Country
Now I know this song has been out for a little while, but it is STILL stuck in my head. I often catch myself singing this song at least once a week. This upbeat song is a such a perfect description of how I want to try to live my life. The chorus has become my anthem of how I strive to live. It goes:

Love like I'm not scared

                                                                                       Give when it's not fair
                                                                                         Live life for another
                                                                                     Take time for a brother
                                                                                     Fight for the weak ones
                                                                                       Speak out for freedom
                                                                                     Find faith in the battle
Stand tall but above it all
                                                                                        Fix my eyes on You
                                                                                                   On You "

I have actually had the honor to see this Australian band perform live at Campbellsville my last of college! Campbellsville announced the end of my junior year that they would be performing in the chapel in the fall. Emily, Kalyn, Matthew John and I signed up right away for our tickets and looked forward to the next semester! It was an absolute blast. This band performs with such energy and enthusiasm. It is a concert I will never forget! Below are pictures from the fun night.

L to R: Matthew John, me, Emily, and Kalyn. We were like 4 rows back!

They played several of their songs and toward the end, one of the lead singers jumped up in the seats right in front of us and began leading the group to pull out your phone and put the flashlight on and wanted us to all sing "Amazing Grace" together. It was one of those moments that you get chills realizing how many of us were singing to God in that moment.

Then afterwards when we were walking back to our dorms, we found one of their storage units and of course naturally, we took a photo in front of it.
I hope you get this song stuck in your head and you find yourself singing it often.

With love,
